Ways We Help
The Focus of Our Efforts
The Stroke Recovery Association of Barrie and District offers a range of programs designed to support stroke survivors in rebuilding their strength, enhancing communication, and reconnecting with their community. Our programs are led by trained volunteers and cater to various needs and recovery stages.

Physical Rehabilitation
We offer chair exercises, strength training, and adaptive pool programs to help survivors improve mobility, regain physical strength, and boost overall well-being.
Communication Support
Speech therapy and group activities provide a supportive space to work on language skills and enhance communication confidence in a friendly, understanding environment.

Social & Community Engagement
Our monthly meetings with guest speakers and social gatherings bring together survivors, family members, and volunteers. These events foster connections and offer valuable recovery insights, guidance, and emotional support.
Peer and Family Support
We provide a network of peer mentors and family support resources, empowering families and caregivers with practical knowledge and emotional encouragement as they assist loved ones through recovery.
